Skill based Combat
Outnumbered? You can still win your battles as our system is the most skill based combat system out there. There are no cheap mechanics, if you can out play your opponents then you can beat them with ease, while having higher stamina and force pools helps, they do not mean you will auto win. So make sure you hone your combat skills if you plan on cutting down piles of foes!

Blocking
Holding MB2 allows you to block, but drains stamina. While blocking you are invulnerable to incoming lightsaber attacks, but you are now vulnerable to guard breaks, if your guard is broken with a kick then you will be exposed to an incoming attack for a short window.

Guard Break (Kicking)
Pressing F allows you to perform a quick kick, if you contact your opponent you will interupt their attack or break their guard, however while kicking you expose yourself to incoming lightsaber attacks, so make sure you time them well.

Charged Attacks
Holding down your mouse button charges up your attack scalar. This attack scalar increase your damage potential as well as your combo tier if charged long enough. This means calculating and preparing your strikes will lead to much more damage.

Combo Attacks
You can increase your combo in two ways, charging or landing strikes. If you land a strike your combo will rise by 1. Each combo, depending on your form and stance, will change your stats, by default as your combo rises your speed, agility and damage will increase - though this is highly configurable for server owners to change!

Aerial Attacks
Your combat does not stop just because you leaped into the air, strike your foe by performing an attack while in the air, combo this with wall runs and combat rolls to perform some truly awe inspiring moves!

Stamina & Force
You have two energy bars you must maintain, Stamina and Force. Stamina controls how long you can sustain a lightsaber fight as if you run out you will lose the ability to be agile and defensive meaning you can only strike your opponent relentlessly. Your force pool determines how much force you may block as well as how much force abilities you may use, which will reduce your healing, defense, escape and pursuit. These bars are of the foremost importance for you to keep up with in a dual.

Combat Stances
Stances are a game of Rock Paper Scissors in real time, if you match the stance of your opponent then you will have Auto-Parry enabled forcing their attack to bounce off of your lightsaber. If you do not match their stance, then you will need to block manually.

Combat Forms
Each stance provided by your server admins will grant you different moves, damages, speeds and overall ability to fight. Some stances can be heavy attack but slow to strike, some can be fast and nimble, each form should specialize an aspect to let players decide their fight style. Customize them to your hearts content with dozens of options.

Mobility
Your movement is unleashed when you weild the force. You can wallrun, combat leap and more. There are so many ways to utilize your mobility and agility, and the best part is it is 100% skill based, you will need to learn how to use the system effectively without need of XP or Levels, by design it has a skill ceiling for unskilled players, practice makes perfect!

Movement
Since Darksaber is not spam to win, your movement now matters. You must position yourself correctly and take calculated strikes instead of spamming your oppenent while looking at the floor (Yeah, we are talking about you wiltos). Gone are the days of cheap mechanics and low-skill gameplay.

True Hitscanning
Our lightsabers feature a true-to-life hitscan, where your blade is is where it hits. The mathematics behind it help cover lower-end servers from feeling janky. We have always excelled at our hitscanning, no other product has quite matched our hitscan capabilities. Tested over years of gameplay, our hitscan is the best you can possibly get out there.

Crystals
We have several THOUSANDS of crystals not including the corrupted versions. I worked with Zhrom once again to produce the most effective method of having a near-infinite level of control on the crystals. You, the server admin, have total control over the color of the crystals for both inner and outer. Our models are designed in albedo form to ensure we can apply a proper level of RGB without losing any model detail or style. You have 16.8 million colors at your disposal for each crystal.

Legacy Hilts
We have pre-configured most of the lightsaber hilts on the workshop. If we have missed some, we will add them for everyone once we are made aware (as long as they are system compatible!)

Skill Tree
Unlocking powers has never been simpler! Our skill tree is the simplest skill tree you will ever interact with, for the server developer it operates on a numerical index basis allowing you to place them as precisely as you wish, by default we recommend 0.5 intervals, but you can do any interval you wish!

Learning System
You have a limited number of force powers you can learn per-rank. You can learn powers on your tree every so often without an admin needing to be present, the system will roll dice for you and tell you the outcome. If you fail to learn, fear not, just try again in a few minutes. This ensures players learn powers over time and lets admins do their jobs without needing to interfere with an automated system!

Force Powers
Featuring over 70 force powers, our system is designed by default to provide a faction-subclass feel just like SWTOR. But server administration can make their own tiers very easily and even add in new powers!

Cinematics
Darksaber is designed to look good in every screenshot you take. We also take detail into our thirdperson camera placing it on a small dolly that smoothly keeps up with your character giving it a nice polished feeling.

Thirdperson & Firstperson
By default, the thirdperson camera is enabled as most players tend to use it over first person. You can toggle thirdperson and firstperson by pressing O. Did I mention you can fight with a lightsaber in first person? We have a system we dub Second Person allowing the camera to be placed on the players shoulders so we can see our body from a firstperson perspective allowing all lightsabers to work in first person!

Entity Payloading
Darksaber aims to make your server better all around. I have included a payloading entity that allows you to have an object or npc in the world that players can press E on and have things happen. You can use these with some simple logic checks to apply things like powers, quests, xp, tutorials and more with a very simple payloading system, the configuration is only as complicated as you need it to be.

Alerts & NPC Chats
Darksaber includes some niceties inside of it to make your gamemode experience that much more polished, you can have players be alerted by doing ply:alert(msg), it really is that simple! Along with that, you can have any kind of text pop up on screen in a nice SWTOR styled theme, this could be quest text, tutorial text or any other kind of hint or conversation.

Teleporters
Tired of using weird and clunky teleporters? Fear no more! Our teleporters interupt if the player moves too much or takes damage before the countdown timer finishes, no more cross-galaxy fleeing mid combat, you can now kill those cheesy players!

Inventory & Items
Our inventory is suited to support more than just Lightsabers & Crystals. With a small amount of coding work, you can support just about any kind of item as we have Unique Identifiers meaning you can store data per item, in fact thats how we manage crystals inside of your hilt! This can easily replace any inventory system you have and most likely outperform them! Our item framework is super detailed allowing you to store any kind of variable or data on them. Worried about how many items you can register? Unlike other systems we support the MAXIMUM amount you can have by engine limits, by default this addon ships with just over 19,000 items pre-made, it is truly unleashed!

Custom Damage/Heal System
It baffles me why there is not a simple damage and healing system out there, so I made one. With our system you have access to create resistences, damage buffs, damage types and more. Want to make SONIC damage powers and have a SONIC resistence power? You can do that, this is true for just about any damage type you can think of. The system also includes a massive healing library, for healing & damaging, we include over time, all at once, resistences and buffs. It is truly a game changer when it comes to creating abilities and force powers.

Levels and Experience
Utilize the leveling and Experience system which supports multiple skill types. Server admins can easily add in a new skill by giving players a way to gain the XP and a reward for its levels, Oh I should mention making a new skill is as easy as typing its name in a string! It really is that simple!

Custom Scifi/SWTOR UI
Everyone has SWTOR UI fatigue, we have went out of our way to make sure our UI looks amazing, on brand but not swtor exactly. Some elements we use are SWTOR like, but some are also off-branded to make sure we do not get too tired of seeing SWTOR. This hud is fantastic looking, its modern, sleek and super high quality. Everyone loves it!
